Mohamed Rifas was recently awarded the certifications of Accredited Management Consultant & Accredited Financial Analyst from the US based Global Academy of Finance and Management(GAFM).

He is currently working as an Implementation Lead for the Intergrated Treasury Management Information System project, a major reform initiative towards improving fiscal management in Sri Lanka through the Fiscal Management Efficiency Project (FMEP), an Asian Development Bank assisted project under the Ministry of Finance and Planning in Sri Lanka.

Global Academy of Finance and Management is a certification body and awards certifications in finance, accounting, and management consulting areas. Its certifications and designation requirements are based on earned degrees at master level and professional qualifications with extensive experience.

It was founded in 1996 by the original founders of the Graduate Leadership Society which consist of CEOs, Executives, Professors, and industry experts. Its certification standards board is TUV Accredited and ISO 9001:2008 Certified for Quality and ISO 29990:2010 Certified for Educational Standards.
