Dish Asia Network (DAN TV), a Worldwide Tamil Television Network yesterday pledged to construct a house to the family of a slain journalist in South during the previous regime.
DAN TV News Editor Daya Master who previously functioned as the LTTE Media Spokesman made this assurance to Parliamentary Reforms and Mass Media Minister Gayantha Karunatilleka and a group of journalists from the South when they visited the DAN TV office in Jaffna yesterday.
The staff members of DAN TV welcomed the group including the Media Minister and Deputy Minister Karunarathne Paranavithana.
Meanwhile, foundation stones were laid to construct three houses for the families of three journalists who were killed in Jaffna during the conflict period.
The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd. (Lake House), Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC), and the ITN sponsored the construction of the three houses.
