Parents of 13 Grade 3 children attached to a Primary School in Bulathsinhala accompanied their children to the Bulathsinhala Police and lodged a complaint against a lady teacher alleging that she was harassing the children by poking pens, pencils and foot rulers down their throats seeking innocent pleasure by doing so.
Police said this teacher had been temporarily assigned to this school from a nearby school for relief duty as the class teacher was on maternity leave.
The students subjected to this ordeal have been admitted to hospital for a medical report on their condition.
Police investigations are continuing.
