The driver of assassinated journalist and newspaper Editor Lasantha Wickrematunge yesterday identified the Warrant Officer (WO) who was arrested in connection with the murder during an identification parade.
The identification parade was held in the presence of Mt. Lavinia Magistrate W. Lochana.
The WO attached to the Army Intelligence Unit was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the assassination early this month.
The WO is to be produced before another eye witness in the murder during another identification parade.
Lasantha Wickrematunge, founding editor of the Sunday Leader newspaper was assassinated in January 2009.
