Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa emerged as the runner-up of the All Island Under 13 Division One Cricket Tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association for the Singer Trophy and Cambrians were captained by all rounder Tharindu Amarasinghe.
Cambrians were unbeaten through out the tournament with two drawn games but they carried away major honours in these two matches too. In the finals Tissa Vidyalaya, Kalutara was adjudged the champions on points. Tharindu was the second highest run getter for his Alma-mater with 584 runs which included two centuries and three fifties. He bowls off spin and a very fine fielder at any position with a very good arm.
His vice captain Vinuja Ranpul too is a very fine all rounder and was the highest run getter of this entire tournament with 984 runs. He also became the first ever player to make the highest total ever for Cambrians in under thirteen Division One history and was unlucky to miss the magical 1000 runs. They are coached by former Cambrian cricketer Kalpa Fernando.
