SLC officials visit Kalutara, Matara

Sri Lanka Cricket president Thilanga Sumathipala yesterday visited the District Cricket Associations of the Southern Province together with several members of the Executive Committee.

The Executive members inspected the ground and infrastructure development currently underway at the Bandaragama ground and engaged in discussions with the officials of the Kalutara District Cricket Association led by Priyantha Algama, the general secretary prior to conducting a forum discussion with the membership.

The president also visited the Matara District Cricket Association together with the president MDCA, Laksman Yapa Abeywardena, and engaged in discussions with officials with regards to the current and proposed developments for cricket in the Southern Province.

Among the topics discussed was the establishment of the SLC Provincial Centres of Excellence, the first of which will be inaugurated at the Pallakelle International Cricket Stadium today.
