The Chinese Government has extended its fullest support to Sri Lanka to fight against COVID-19, a Health Ministry spokesman said.
The Acting Chinese Ambassador Hu Wei had told Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi that the Chinese Government will extend the fullest support to Sri Lanka to fight against COVID-19 when he met her yesterday.
The Acting Ambassador had promised to provide financial assistance, medications, medical equipment or anything required to fight against COVID-19. He had thanked Minister Wanniarachchi for her special efforts made to do her duty as best as possible. He handed over a report on the measures taken by China during past three months to control COVID-19.
Minister Wanniarachchi handed over a special photo taken before the cured Chinese tourist left Sri Lanka. Officials from the Health Ministry and the Chinese Embassy were present during the discussion.
