A Non-Governmental Organization called ‘World Vision’ has come forward to solve the shortage of beds faced by the Covid Treatment Centers in the Kalmunai RDHS Division at the request of the Regional Director of Health Services Dr S. Sukunan.
A sum of Rs. 1.4 million has been set apart by World Vision to purchase 80 beds to five Covid Treatment Centres functioning in the five Divisional Hospitals in the region. A simple ceremony organized by the Distributor and a Social Worker A.L. Gaffoor (ANF Agency) held at the Auditorium of the Addalaichenai Al-Shakkee Banquet was attended by Kalmunai Regional Director of Health Dr S. Sukunan and Planning Medical Officer Dr M.C.M. Mahir to distribute the beds to the Medical Officers and Medical Superintendents of the selected Hospital under whose purview the Covid Treatment Centres are functioning.
Dr Sanoos Kariapper (Sainthamaruthu DH), Dr I.D.H.Gamage, ( Annamalai DH), Dr M.J.Nowfel ( Palamunai DH), Dr U.L.Wafa (Akkaraipattu D.H) and Dr A.B.Mashoor (Thirukkovil DH were present to receive their allocations of beds.
Medical Officers and the general public of the areas express their sincere thanks to “World Vision” to solve their outstanding problems faced by them.
