Packs of indigenous medicines were distributed among residents of the Ampara District on quarantine recently.
Indigenous Medicine Development of Rural Ayurvedic Hospitals and Community Health State Minister Sisira Jayakody and Ayurvedic Commissioner Dr. Dhammika Abeygunawardena initiated the project from the Deegawapi Parivara.
Nintavur Ayurvedic Research Hospital Acting Director Dr. K.L.M. Nagfer provided the first pack to Chief Incumbent of the Temple Ven. Bothivela Chandrananda Thera.
Army Camp 241 Division Commander Colonel A.M.C. Abeyakoon graced the occasion.
About 50,000 packs of medicines will be distributed in the Ampara District, Acting Director Dr. K.L.M. Nagfer said.
