SP records many underage marriages

Several social problems have arisen as a result of underage marriages in the Southern Province, Provincial Health Services Office sources said. The maximum number of underage marriages in the Province has been reported from its coastal belt.

Steps have been taken by the authorities to educate the students who have left schools regarding this situation. The sources also said that awareness programmers have been conducted on divisional secretariat basis on the issue.
