The official opening ceremony of the National Lotteries Board for the New Year 2022 was held on Monday at the premises of the National Lotteries Board with the participation of Senior Management and staff.

The ceremony was officially inaugurated with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp and the swearing in of public servants. Prof. Ranjith Bandara, Member of Parliament representing the Minister of Finance graced the occasion.
The keynote address was delivered by Sanath Gamage, Human Resource Development Training Specialist.
At the beginning of the year, the new lottery NLB ‘Dhana Yoga Hadahana’ was launched with the aim of giving away prizes. The first draw of the Rs. 2.5 million will be held on January 27 as a special draw. In addition to the prizes from the main draw, a Mahendran KUV 100 car will be awarded for the first special number and ten gold coins each from the 2nd special number to the 11th special number.
