Garbage along with visitors to Sithulpawwa, Yala

Heaps of garbage has been dumped on the way leading to Sithulpawwa and the Yala National Park disregarding the notice boards that request visitors not to dump garbage along the road and the vicinity.

According to the residents of the area, many local visitors dump garbage on the road.

The Kataragama MOH said that the visitors have been made aware of the health hazards caused due to garbage dumps by distributing leaflets among them and installing notice boards on either side of the road but most of them neglect the advice.
