The Ministry of Justice has organized a mobile service called 'Access to Justice' covering the entire Northern Province from January 26 to 30, 2022 to educate the public about the services provided by the Ministry of Justice and its agencies to the people of the Northern Province to be a force in law enforcement and to build a society of equality and to address issues of law and order to the people of that Province based on the existing legal field and law.
A special media briefing was held under the patronage of Justice Minister Ali Sabri PC at the Ministry of Justice Auditorium today.
Speaking at the press conference, Minister Sabry said that the mobile program will cover five districts in the Northern Province, namely Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, Mannar, Jaffna and Kilinochchi.
He said the main focus was on the issue of missing persons during the civil war and if there had any injustice to the families of the missing persons, they hoped to issue a death certificate or compensation to them adding that the government had allocated an additional Rs. 300 million from the budget to compensate for the disappearances.
