Palamunai Minhaj Maha Vidyalaya team won the Elle championship beating Al-Hamra Maha Vidyalaya, Oluvil team by 5:2 in the final of the Akkaraipattu Educational Zone Elle tournament championship conducted by the Akkaraipattu Zonal Education Office Sports Unit and held at the Public Play Grounds, Palamunai recently.
This tournament was organized by Akkaraipattu Zonal Education Office Assistant Education Director (Physical Education) S.M.Jameel under the guidance and supervision of Akkaraipattu Zonal Education Director A.M.Rahmathullah.
The Elle tournament was held as a part of Akkaraipattu Educational Zone annual inter - school Sports Meet-2022. Akkaraipattu As-Siraj Maha Vidyalaya, Akkaraipattu Fayisa Maha Vidyalaya, Palamunai Minhaj Maha Vidyalaya, Oluvil Al-Hamra Maha Vidyalaya, Pottuvil Al-Kalam Maha Vidyalaya and Pottuvil Central College teams from Akkaraipattu Educational Zone took part.
The Palamunai Minhaj Maha Vidyalaya and Oluvil Al-Hambra Maha Vidyalaya Elle teams qualified for the final.
The champion Palamunai Minhaj Maha Vidyalaya team will have to contest at Eastern Provincial Elle competition.
Palamunai Minhaj Maha Vidyalaya Principal K.L. Ubaithullah, In-service Advisor (Physical Education) M.H.Hammath, Physical Education Teachers I.L.M. Fais and M.M. Mufeer, Coaches J. Safan and A.M.M. Irshad, Parents and Akkaraipattu Zonal Education Director A.M. Rahmathullah were present on the occasion.
