Thamil Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal (TMVP) Parliamentarian and former Minister Sivanesathurai Chandranakanthan alias Pilleyan has stated from a foreign country that he supports Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Pilleyan issued a statement says that only Ranil Wickremesinghe can find a solution to the current crisis in the country and bring about sustainable solutions.
Pilleyan says he and his party will support the Prime Minister in tackling these difficult issues.
He said he would soon visit Sri Lanka and meet the Prime Minister to discuss matters at length, adding that this was not the time to think about political differences and that the party was determined to support the new Prime Minister’s right decisions in the face of the country’s ongoing economic crisis.
He said that his party would support any right decision taken by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s Government to save the country from the current economic crisis and that the party had taken this decision with a focus on the livelihood of the Tamil people in the Eastern Province.
