Co-Cabinet Spokesman, Minister of Mass Media, Transport and Highways Dr. Bandula Gunawardena said yesterday that the 21st Amendment to the Constitution will be taken up for discussion at the next Cabinet of Ministers meeting.
He was speaking at a media briefing at the Government Information Department to announce the decisions taken by the Cabinet of Ministers yesterday.
Minister Gunawardena said that at the request of the President, at the ruling party meeting held on Monday, Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe had explained to the members the changes that would be made in the Constitutional Amendment. He said that the Justice Minister would meet MPs tomorrow (02) to discuss issues raised by them. If political parties or MPs needed any explanation, they could clarify it on that day.
