Schools Rugby League Tourney to begin on June 20

The Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association (SLSRFA) has unveiled the proposed “Dialog” League rugby tournament Division 1, segment “A” for the year 2022, which will begin on June 20 and will go on till July 24 featuring a total of 12 school teams. SLSRFA is confident in having a year full of rugby adhering to the health regulations of the country.

During the first week, June 20 to 26 defending champions Royal College Colombo will confront St. Anthony's College Kandy at the Royal Sports complex in their first match for the new season while the runners-up of the league St. Peter's College Bambalapitiya will take on Dharmaraja College Kandy at Bambalapitiya. St. Joseph's will play host to Kingswood at Longden Place while in the other game Wesley will take on Vidyartha at Longden Place. S. Thomas' will play against Trinity College at Pallekele, having earlier defeated Trinity Lions by 17-14 at the same venue for the Canon R.S. De Saram Trophy and Isipathana College will confront Science College.

In the following week June 27 to July 3: Kingswood vs Royal at Bogambara, Vidyartha vs St. Peter's at Nittawela, St. Anthony's vs Trinity at Nittawela, Dharmaraja vs Science at Bogambara, St. Joseph's vs S. Thomas' at Longden Place, Wesley vs Isipathana at Havelock Park.

July 4 to 10: Royal vs Trinity at Royal Sports Complex, St. Peter's vs Science at Bambalapitiya, Kingswood vs S. Thomas' at Bogambara, Vidyartha vs Isipathana at Nittawela, St. Anthony's vs St. Joseph's at Nittawela, Dharmaraja vs Wesley at Bogambara.

July 11 to 17: S. Thomas' vs Royal at Havelock Park, Isipathana vs St. Peter's at Havelock Park, Trinity vs St. Joseph's at Pallekele, Science vs Wesley at Mount Lavinia, Kingswood vs St. Anthony's at Bogambara, Vidyartha vs Dharmaraja at Nittawela.

July 18 to 24 St. Joseph's vs Royal at Longden Place, St. Peter's vs Wesley at Bambalapitiya, S. Thomas' vs St. Anthony's at Havelock Park, Isipathana vs Dharmaraja at Havelock Park, Trinity vs Kingswood at Pallekele, Science vs Vidyartha at Mount Lavinia.
