Five road accident deaths on Sunday

Five persons were killed in road accidents island wide on Sunday (05),” Police said.

A motorcyclist died on admission to the Ragama Hospital after crashing into a lamp post near Kirillawala Maha Vidyalaya in the Kadawatha Police Division.The deceased has been identified as a 27-year-old resident of Galenbindunuwewa, Anuradhapura.

A pedestrian who was seriously injured in a collision with a motorbike in the Halmillakotuwa area in Kadawalagedara in the Kobeigane Police Division died on admission to the Kobeigane Hospital. The deceased has been identified as a 76-year-old resident of Kobeigane

A motorcyclist was killed when he crashed into the back of a lorry parked at the Nelumkanuwa junction on the Rambewa road in the Katupotha Police Division. The crash occurred due to a technical fault. The deceased has been identified as a 24-year-old resident of Matiyagane.
