Discussion on Waste Management in Batti

Health Services Director General Dr. Asela Gunawerdana participated in a discussion at the Batticaloa Regional Health Services Director’s Office on the proper disposal of clinical waste on Thursday (28).

The United Nation Development Project (UNDP) has provided Rs. 1,800 million for the medical institutions in the Eastern Province in this regard. Deputy Director of Health Services Dr. Siriwardena, Consultant Communicable Physicians Dr. Inoka, Provincial Director of Health Services Dr. Mohamed Thowfeek, RDHS Kalmunai Dr. Mohamed Rifaz, Batticaloa Teaching Hospital Director Dr. Kalaranjani Ganesalingam, Medical Superintendents and UNDP Representatives were present.
