‘Bread prices’ will not be increased in Jaffna

President of Jaffna District Bakeries Cooperative Association Kandasamy Gunaratnam said that the price of a loaf of bread in Jaffna will not be increased to Rs.300 and the price of bread will be kept at Rs.200.

The Chairman of the Association also said that bakery owners in Jaffna still get a sack of wheat flour from the Prima Company for the old price of Rs. 12,500.

He said due to the increase in the prices of wheat flour received by Colombo bakery owners from other companies, traders increased the price of bread to Rs.300 and other bakery products.
