Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawela yesterday ordered Danish Ali to handover his mobile phone and the laptop to Terrorist Investigation Department (TID)for further investigations into the alleged forced entry into the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC).
The Magistrate made this order pursuant to a request made by the Terrorist Investigation Department yesterday.When the matter was taken up before the Magistrate, four suspects including Danish Ali appeared before the Court. Filing a further B-report, the Cinnamon Gardens Police stated that stated further investigations are being carried out to identify the persons behind them.
On July 13, a group of protesters along with Danish Ali had forcibly entered the national television station Rupavahini and threatened the journalists.
