Two rob money, jewellery by threatening to kill infant

Anamaduwa Police said that two thieves broke into a house in Metpagama, Anamaduwa yesterday afternoon (26) and robbed the money and gold jewellery of the mother after threatening to kill her 11-month-old infant.

It has been reported that the woman’s husband is employed at a tyre factory and had left for work at around 10 a.m. As the woman was getting ready to prepare lunch, one of the two thieves broke into the house and took the 11-month-old infant, while the other thief grabbed the baby’s mother and demanded gold and money, threatening to kill the infant. The mother sustained injuries.
