Education Minister visits Hameed Al Husseinie College

Education Minister Susil Premajayantha visited Hameed Al Husseinie College Colombo recently. College Principal A.K.T. Adahan and students welcomed the Minister. Parliamentarian Mujibur Rahman was present.

The Minister said that the Colombo Central has three National Schools and Hameed al Husseinie College is one and that he will resolve the shortage of teachers in the schools before March. He also said that he already arranged the distribution of school uniforms, text books and meal care projects. The Minister also spoke about the education elevation programmes this year.Principal A.K.T. Adahan said that the schools marks 138 years of history and that they have planned various programmes to mark the 138th anniversary.

Minister Susil Premajayatha and Mujibur Rahman distributed certificates to the students who took part in the Kids Virtual Talent Competition in 2020. Also a meal care project named “Light of Life“ organized by the old boys of College was introduced at the ceremony.

Deputy Principal and Head of Primary M.H.F. Muzniha, School Development Committee Secretary A.R.M. Nawaz Deen, Lite of Life Project Director Faizal Buhary, Teachers, Students, Parents and old boys were present.
