Five numbers from Exams Dept to report malpractices

Advanced Level exam 2022 begins on Monday

The Examinations Department has introduced five telephone numbers that can be notified in case of an examination malpractice during the Advanced Level Examination period.

Accordingly, general public are requested to contact the Sri Lanka Examinations Department dialling hotline 1911. Besides dialing 0112784208 or 0112785212 the Office of the Commissioner General of Examinations can be ccontracted. 0112784208 or 0112784537 can be used to inform the School Examination Organization and Results Branch about examination irregularities.

Apart from this, the police headquarters can be contacted at 0112421111 and the police emergency hotline can be contacted dialling 119.

Examinations Commissioner General Amith Jayasundara said it is prohibited to publish posters, banners, brochures, electronic, printed media or social media network or to keep such things in possession during the examination period. If such activity takes place legal action will be taken again such errant persons.

Tuition classes for Advanced Level examination candidates was banned from 12 midnight of last 17. The examination will be held from Monday 23 to February 17 in 2,200 examination centers across the country.

Activities such as holding of lectures, seminars and workshops, the printing or distribution of question papers, model papers for the examination are strictly prohibited during the AL examination period.
