SLBFE contributes Rs.3 Bn to Treasury

The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) yesterday contributed a sum of Rs. 3 billion to the Treasury under the guidance of Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara.

Previously, the total amount of money given to the Treasury by the Sri Lanka Bureau  of Foreign Employment was Rs. 3.38 billion and this is the first time in history that Rs.3 billion has been given in a single contribution.

Taking into account the current economic situation in the country, this amount has been given to the Treasury from the operating surplus of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment, for the previous year.

Also, the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment will allocate Rs.500 million for the purchase of necessary drugs to the National Cancer Hospital. Of this amount, Rs. 100 million has been already granted.
