Patriotic United National Party (PUNP) Secretary Sugath Hewapathirana said that new laws should be brought to suppress pro-fascist political groups led by Anura Kumara Dissanayake whose statements apparently imply to assassinate the Executive President of the country.
He mentioned this while speaking to the media after submitting a complaint to the Election Commission yesterday (25).
“Gotabaya Rajapaksa was able to escape to the Maldives. NPP leader Anura Kumara says that Ranil Wickremesinghe will not be able to do that. He is saying in this incident that he will kill the Executive President,”he said. He said that he submitted a complaint to the Commission yesterday urging them to bring laws to intervene to conduct a free and peaceful election as this fascist political group led by Anura Kumara is creating their own force through Facebook and suppressing the opinion of innocent people.
