Kandy guard’s murder suspect arrested

Police have succeeded in arresting the suspect who was involved in the killing of the security guard at the Sports complex at St. Sylvester’s College,  Kandy The suspect, a resident of Balangoda was taken into custody yesterday (26) subsequent to a lengthy investigation by a special team of police officers of the Kandy Police.

This murder had taken place at dawn on January 17 inside a building of the sports complex.

The victim 27 was a resident of Hanwella.

A top police official said that it has been revealed during investigations that the reason for the killing is a dispute regarding a woman.
