Did HRCSL use coercion against the officials of CEB and the ministry?

Minister of Power and Energy, Kanchana Wijesekara has stated that the Agreement reached by CEB and other relevant officials, at a discussion held with the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka, regarding uninterrupted power supply was a result of coercion by the HRCSL officials. HRCSL has stated that an Agreement was reached by the relevant officials to ensure an uninterrupted power supply until the end of A/L Examination.

The discussion was held with the participation of the relevant officials of Public Utilities Commission (PUCSL), Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and the Ministry of Power and Energy and

Minister further states that the relevant officials have sought legal opinions as to the action that can be taken against the HRCSL and has himself informed the President and the Constitutional Council regarding the actions of the HRCSL officials.
