Minadi Perera of Musaeus College under 14 Hockey team, proved herself to be a rising Hockey star by scoring two goals, where they were awarded a Gold Star at the recently concluded all Island Schools Girls Hockey tournament, organised and conducted by the Sri-Lanka Schools Hockey Association, played at Matale.
Minadi Perera playing as a centre forward scored two goals in two consecutive matches , her first was against Janadhipathi Balika, Galle and her second was against Vihara Maha Devi Balika, Kelaniya , which enabled them to win both these games by a solitary goal to nil and her goals helped Musaeus College, Colombo 07, to rise to the top of the group and her contribution was an asset to receive this prestigious Gold Star award at this tournament.
She is much thankful to MIC Daya Chandani Gunawardena and Coach M.J. M. Naushad for guiding her to come upto this standard.
