Awareness programme on Natural Products to Promote Marketing for Local Industries and Agri – Food Fair was held at the Hundu Cultural Hall, Trincomalee recently.
Japan Peace Winds Organization in collaboration with the Siddha Medicine Unit of Eastern University, Trincomalee and Eastern Province Department of Indigenous Medicine conducted the programme. The funding Agency is Japanese Government.Eastern Province Governor Anuradha Yahambath, Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka Mizukoshi Hideaki and Eastern Province Department of Indigenous Medicine Commissioner Dr.R. Srithar graced the occasion.The Chief Guest Eastern Province Governor Anuradha Yahambath opened the exhibition along with the Guests.
Plants Sales, Organic Vegetables and Fruits Sales, Herbal Medicine and Natural Food Production were also exhibited. Producers of Trincomalee District who used compost were awarded with certificate.
