Teen warned after BIA bomb prank

The Police had thoroughly warned and released a 14-year-old student, who had called the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and deliberately given false information that there was a bomb at the Terminal 2 of the Airport.

Following this phone call on Saturday, the Security Division of the Airport had acted immediately and searched the premises keeping to the security guidelines, and had confirmed that there was no bomb.

The same individual had called again after seven minutes and said that he was joking.The Airport Police had traced that person from a mobile phone and summoned him to the Police. The student who is a resident of Sunandarama Road, Kalubowila had been warned and released by the Police.
