Suspect with heroin worth Rs. 27 million remanded

Officers of the Anti-Narcotics Bureau of the Sri Lanka Excise Department arrested a person involved in heroin trafficking along with a kilogramme of heroin worth around Rs.27 million, during a raid conducted in Narahenpita last Saturday (20). The 34-year-old suspect, a resident of Kirula Road, Narahenpita, Colombo 5 remanded after being produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court.

Further investigations regarding this are being carried out by the officers of the Narcotics Bureau under the supervision of Narcotics Bureau Excise Superintendent K. S. P. Pathirana.

The raid was conducted under the guidance of Excise Inspector Anura Aluthge, Station Commander of the Excise Narcotics Bureau.
