CID told to submit reports on Schaffter’s death probe to five member Expert Panel

Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya yesterday (6) ordered the Criminal Investigation Department to submit reports of investigations conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department so far about the death of Janashakthi Director Dinesh Schaffter to the five-member medical panel.

The five-member expert medical panel investigating the death had requested the court in writing to provide investigation reports to assist them with the second post-mortem examination.

The Magistrate issued an order to the Criminal Investigation Department to submit to the court if there is any objection regarding the relevant request, and the case will be recalled on June 24.
