Kandy student brawlers bailed

The six students who were arrested in connection with the incident of brutally assaulting a student of a renowned boy’s school in Katugastota who was appearing for the GCE Ordinary Level Examination at the examination center run by the school were produced before the Kandy

Magistrate Sreenith Wijesekera yesterday (9). The magistrate ordered to release them on a cash bail of Rs.10,000 each and a surety bond of Rs.200,000 each.

Police said that among the six students who were released on cash and surety bail, there was a set of twins as well.The Magistrate ordered that the students who were released on bail, be present in court on October 20.

The students were produced in court by the Children’s and Women’s Bureau of the Katugastota Police.
