Rohitha Bogollagama appointed Sri Lanka’s HC to UK

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Rohitha Bogollagama has been appointed as Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. His appointment will be effective from August 01, 2023.  

Bogollagama was elected to Parliament as a member of the United National Party from the Kurunegala District in 2000. Bogollagama, who was appointed as the Industry Minister of that Government, also worked as the Foreign Minister in 2005.

Rohitha Bogollagama will assume the position held by Saroja Sirisena, whose term as the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom has ended.
