Employees’ Trust Fund should not be touched - Sajith

Opposition and SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa said the Samagi Jana Balawegaya will not stand idly by if the Employees’ Trust Fund is touched, in the name of local debt restructuring.

While pointing out that it was the SJB which urged the then government to go to the IMF at the start of the crisis said that however the government’s agreement now with the IMF was very weak.

He was speaking at a public event in Embilipitiya yesterday. The Opposition Leader said that the current government has disappointed the people of the country for the second time in the domestic debt restructuring process.
