The National Transport Commission (NTC) has received over 70 complaints and proposals from bus commuters through the recently launched 'Mobile Passenger App' ‘MYBUS-lk’.
The app helps commuters obtain information of inter provincial long distance Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) buses and private buses.
Under this facility, passengers will have the opportunity to complain to the NTC using the mobile App because the NTC has set up a special control room for the effective operation of the MYBUS SL mobile App.
The NTC said the new app has already been downloaded by 5200 since it was made available. Over 1,600 commuters have also registered their details on the App.
Through this App, passengers will have the opportunity to know the exact time a bus begins its journey and the time and the place of termination, the correct bus fare, track the bus the passenger intends to travel in and the time the bus reaches the terminal and also lodge complaints through the internet.
‘MYBUS SL’ with a multitude of facilities aimed at saving time, helping prearrange tours and prevent passengers being overcharged. This app is expected to be introduced to the Sri Lanka Railways in the future.

The National Transport Commission has received nearly 70 complaints and proposals from bus commuters through the recently launched ‘MYBUS- lk’ Mobile App.
The Mobile App was introduced by the National Transport Commission (NTC) to help commuters to obtain the information of the inter provincial long distance Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) buses and private buses.
Under this facility, passengers will have the opportunity to complain to the NTC for 24 hours using the mobile App because the NTC has set up a special control room for the effective operation of the MYBUS SL mobile App.
The Spokesman from the NTC said the new app has already been downloaded by 5200 people since it was launched. More than 1647 commuters have also registered their details on the App.
