The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) said it has decided to reopen the Narahenpita office from tomorrow with limited staff.
However, entry to the premises will be limited to the clients.
Accordingly, the general public will be able to obtain the said services from tomorrow and the members of the public who expect to obtain the said services shall contact the Department , from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. on weekdays and make an appointment to get the services.

The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) main office in Narahenpita will resume operations tomorrow with limited staff, the Commissioner General of the Department announced. Commissioner General Sumith Alahakoon said that services will only be provided on an appointment only basis.
He added that services can be obtained from the Jaffna, Anuradhapura, Kurunegala, Gampaha and Hambantota branch offices. “The operations at the branch will be carried out with the minimum number of employees while strictly enforcing health safety guidelines on employees and visitors.”
To make appointments, the department has listed a set of telephone numbers citizens can reach between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm on weekdays.
