Event organizer Chandimal Jayasinghe and model Piumi Hansamali who were arrested by the Fort Police on charges of violating quarantine regulations were released on bail.
The said persons were arrested for organizing a birthday party at a five star hotel in Colombo violating quarantine regulations.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that the suspects were produced before the Hulftsdrop Magistrate Court and released on Rs. 1 million personnel bail.
The case would be taken before the court again On August 27. He said the police are investigating to arrest others who attended the party through CCTV footage.

Model,actress Piumi Hansamali and event organizer Chandimal Jayasinghe have been arrested for hosting a birthday party in a luxury hotel last night, said the Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana. They were arrested by the Fort police for violating quarantine regulations.
