The only solution to the current political crisis in the country is to hold a General Election and elect a new Government, the TNA said yesterday. TNA Jaffna District MP M.A. Sumanthiran told the media that the present Government cannot be accepted as its formation was unconstitutional.
He said the Government should be immediately dissolved and a General Election called for as it was unconstitutional.
He said the Government has not been able to solve any of the people’s problems.
Sumanthiran went on to say that the people were demanding for a new Government as the prices of goods had gone up so much that people could not afford to buy groceries and services such as gas, electricity and fuel which has also gone up exponentially in addition to there being a severe shortage.
