Dolawatta questions conduct of Additional Magistrate

SLPP MP Premanath C. Dolawatta questioned Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe in Parliament on the conduct of an additional magistrate in Colombo with regard to a suspect before her.

He asked, “This is a very wrong precedent. A black mark to the entire judicial system and judges. As far as I know, the Attorney General has made some interventions.I would like to know from the Justice Minister what steps should be taken regarding such behaviour. Because the judiciary should be independent. The judges of the court, the said judge, are not able to help suspects who come before them.”
