The Criminal Investigation Department investigating into Ranjanganaye Saddha Rathana Thera informed the Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage that an amount of Rs.100 million has been credited to the bank account of Ven.Rajanganaye Saddharathana Thera in addition to the Rs.60 million.
The CID officials informed the Magistrate that these funds have been credited to his account from Gautemala, Australia and Germany.
The officials informed court that Financial Investigation Division of the Department has started comprehensive investigations as to how such a large amount money has been credited to his account Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage yesterday (21) ordered the further remand of Ven.Rajanganaye Saddharatana Thera for making statements that disturb religious harmony in the country. The accused monk did not appear in court yesterday and the Magistrate made the order after inspecting him via Skype technology.
