Rs.2.4 Mn theft at Anuradhapura resort

Anuradhapura Police are investigating the robbery of items worth over Rs. 2.4 million from a resort at Paragaswewa in Anuradhapura.

A senior officer of the Anuradhapura Police stated that the thieves who entered the resort by breaking a window stole properties worth Rs.2,432,000 including six beds, five mattresses and two commodes. Last Sunday (02), a maid at the resort lodged a complaint with the Police regarding the theft. She said that she found that the items there were stolen when the resort which was closed frm May 4 was reopened on June 16.
