M. Fawzan Anver, Sri Lanka's representative in Palestine met with Palestine Prime Minister Dr. Rami Hamdallah recently.
Anver conveyed the greetings of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to Dr. Rami Hamdallah, the Prime Minister and extended the cordial relations exiting between the two countries.
The contributions made by former Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaiake who was the one of the founders members of the Non-aligned Movement and Afro-Asia Solidarity Movement, and a close friend of the Middle East region was also highlighted at the meeting.
The Prime Minister appreciated the action by the Sri Lankan representative to enhance the existing friendly relations between the two countries and assured him of the Palestine government's assistance in performing the duties attached to his office.
