International SIP Prodigy 2016

SIP Academy Sri Lanka successfully conducted the ‘International SIP Prodigy 2016’ recently. More than 1000 children between 7 to 12 years from SIP Abacus Learning Centers in Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia, UAE, Philippines, and Tanzania took part in the event at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, Colombo.

The chief guest Indian Deputy High Commissioner Arindam Bagchi, speaking on the event said his favorite subject was maths. Most of his friends had been surprised that the most difficult subject was his favorite subject. Now if he asked the SIP abacus students what their favorite subject is, the answer would maths.

“It is a great effort by SIP Academy to introduce this program since many children who follow the program would name their favorite subject as maths,” he said.

Guest of Honor Alethea International School Chairperson Kumari Hapugalle Perera said that children have many avenues open for them to excel in their chosen career.

Speaking on the event SIP Academy Lanka Ltd MD Dinesh Victor said that the students were tested on their concentration, confidence, intelligence, speed and accuracy. It is heart warming to see the competitive spirit amongst these children and their self-confidence.

SIP (Sociable Intellectual Progressive) Academy is a children skill development organization. Its headquarters are in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Various programs offered by SIP Academy India have been developed after years of research and tests. These are on par with international standards. These programs focus on developing various skills of children. The program, open to children between 7to12 years integrates ‘Brain Gym’ exercises with the Abacus methodology known as Mental Arithmetic. This maximizes the potential of the child’s brain. The SIP program is available in 12 countries worldwide with over 1,500 centers.

SIP Academy India has been conducting programs in Sri Lanka since January 2004. They have trained more than 12,000 children in 25 Learning Centers since inception.
