The Customs Narcotics Control Unit seized 1,358 grams of Cannabis flowers and 84 grams of Hashish valued at Rs.10 million from an EMS parcel which had arrived from Spain to a bogus address in Mattegoda.
The Customs media spokesman Dharmasena Kahandawa said the drugs were packed in a speaker box after removing the inner parts.
Investigations are being carried out on the instructions of Customs Director (Social Protection) Sisira de Silva and conducted by Jagath Obesekara (DDC), G.M. Rathnayake (SC) and the NCU staff.
