Most Ven.Vehera Sri Medhananda Thera passes away

Matale North Chief Sanghanayake, Most Ven. Rajakeeya Panditha Vehera Sri Medhananda Thera of the Naula Raja Maha Viharaya, passed away yesterday.

The late Thera was a well known and active teacher of the Dhamma in a large number of Pirivenas in the county and was 95 years at the time of his passing away. The body now lies at his temple for public to pay their last respects to the very pious and erudite monk.

Cremation will take place on Wednesday, March 6 at the Naula public playground
