Rs.2 million was paid to the family of Chief Inspector Ananda Sagara who died under trajic circumstances in Borella from the National Insurance Trust Fund and Agrahara insurance scheme.
Chief Executive Officer of the Fund Sanath C.De Silva said the cheque was given to the IGP to be handed over the victim’s family members yesterday.
He said that compensation is paid when government servants face unexpected accidents through Agrahara insurance scheme
