One of the pioneer private hospitals in Sri Lanka, Pannipitiya Private Hospital together with Allianz Insurance, has decided to grant a 20% discount to students who own Suraksha policies when they take treatment at the hospital.
By this measure, Suraksha students could get the maximum benefits out of their policy, said Dr Ananda Kuruppuarachchi, Chairman, Pannipitiya Private Hospital.
Over 4.5 million students in the age category of 5-21 covering government schools, government approved private schools, Piriven schools and international schools are entitled to the Suraksha medical insurance which is a collective effort of the Education Ministry.
Suraksha Insurance which has been introduced free of charge for schoolchildren, is also a big relief to their parents. Pannipitiya Private Hospital, which avoids unnecessary expenses, offer those benefits to its patients and particularly as a hospital that is not solely profit oriented, join this program with utmost pleasure.
Without stopping there, as a hospital who believes in social responsibility, we decided to contribute to this program from our end. It was as a result of this that a 20% discount is being provided for all treatment obtained under the Suraksha Insurance program from Pannipitiya Private Hospital which no other private hospital provides,” Pannipitiya Private Hospital Chairman Dr Ananda Kuruppuarachchi said.
Pannipitiya Private Hospital is the first private hospital to receive the ISO 9001-2008 Certification and has also received the OHSAS 18001-2007 International Standard Certification which certifies the safety of the staff and patients of the hospital among its many international accolades.
