Lightning strikes youth

A youth died struck by lightning in Godella, Minipura, Dumbara yesterday (13). He was pronounced dead on admission to the Ingiriya Hospital, police said.

The victim was identified as Niriellage Manjula Kumara (20). He was sleeping on the floor of his house when the tragedy struck him, police said. His body is kept at the Ingiriya Hospital for post-mortem. Kiriella Police are investigating.
